Lightning is fun to watch and it can be a very good subject for photographers and artists alike. However, it becomes scary when we will struck by it. Though there may be less chances of us getting struck there will still a hundred who were not lucky enough and we can see that in a news flash. So how can we keep ourselves from lighting and what places does lightning occurs?
Every year there were at least a hundred of people who were struck by lightning. The chances may be slim though and right now well take precautions on how to avoid getting struck by a lightning.
- Lightning is present during thunderstorms where it can happen any time of the year. Most lightning occurs in Florida and its nearby states especially during April to July. There were high fatalities during July because most people are staying outdoors at that time of the year.
- Almost 100 deaths occur in a year as a result of lightning. The figure are not that precise but injuries associated with lightning are around ten times that number.
- The injuries caused by lightning happens before and after the store. Not to mention, lightning bolts can travel 10 miles (16km) from cloud before hitting ground.
- Most victims of lightning were outdoor workers, campers, hikers and people involve in outdoor games and activities.
